How to Bake Guinness Chocolate Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing

Guinness beer gives an amazing flavor to these cup cakes. They are apt for St. Patrick's day or any other day of the week.


Beer 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Guinness)
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Cocoa 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Egg 2
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Plain yogurt 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Baking soda 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.


1. Heat the beer in a pan with butter until the alcohol evaporates.

2. Remove from heat and transfer to the mixer. Let it cool down a bit.

3. Whisk it together with sugar and cocoa until well blended.

4. Beat eggs with yogurt and vanilla, combine until well mixed.

5. Pour this egg mix, a little at a time in the stand mixer and continue to whisk until well combined.

6. Mix baking soda and flour an add it in three batches to the batter in the stand mixer. Scrape your sides in between.

7. Pour the batter into the the cupcake tin lined with paper liners, fill them 3/4th full.

8. Bake them in preheated oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.


9. Ice it with cream cheese icing and serve.
