Betty demonstrates how to make Sauerkraut Salad. This is an unusual salad that you will enjoy, particularly in the summer along with hot dogs!
|Canned shredded sauerkraut||24 Ounce , undrained|
|Onion||1 , finely chopped (medium to large)|
|Celery||1 Cup (16 tbs) , finely chopped|
|Green pepper||1 Medium , finely chopped|
|Canned diced pimento||4 Ounce , drained|
|Sugar||3/4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1. In a large bowl, combine shredded sauerkraut, onion, celery, green pepper, and pimiento. Mix well.
2. Sprinkle sugar over top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
3. Toss well and serve, leaving behind excess liquid.
