Betty's Sauerkraut Salad

Betty demonstrates how to make Sauerkraut Salad. This is an unusual salad that you will enjoy, particularly in the summer along with hot dogs!


Canned shredded sauerkraut 24 Ounce , undrained
Onion 1 , finely chopped (medium to large)
Celery 1 Cup (16 tbs) , finely chopped
Green pepper 1 Medium , finely chopped
Canned diced pimento 4 Ounce , drained
Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)



1. In a large bowl, combine shredded sauerkraut, onion, celery, green pepper, and pimiento. Mix well.

2. Sprinkle sugar over top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.



3. Toss well and serve, leaving behind excess liquid.
