Measuring Cup is an important kitchen tool which helps to accurately measure ingredients required in preparing any dish. History

Some stainless steel cups may have an additional plastic coating for the handle. They also have a hole in the handle for hanging and may even be strung around one particular string for ease of use.
Plastic Measuring Cup – This is made of plastic which may or may not be microwave safe. Plastic measuring cups are mostly dishwasher safe and durable. They are convenient to use and clean and come in a variety of colours adding colour to the kitchen. Cups meant for liquid ingredients usually come in transparent plastic variety.
Wooden Measuring Cup – These are made with wood and look beautiful but are not very commonly used. This is because these cups have more of the aesthetic value than usage. It looks unique in the kitchen but is not long lasting and durable. Frequent use and dampness causes the wood to crack or become warped with time.
