Meatloaf, if prepared in a baking dish, makes the meatloaf pan filled with grease and makes it difficult to clean. However, cleaning a meatloaf pan from grease is no rocket science. All you need is to follow a few steps immediately after removing the dish from the pan and you will wonder that cleaning becomes as delightful as cooking the meatloaf in a pan.  

Step 1: To clean a meatloaf pan, what you require is to remove the meatloaf from the pan immediately after removing it from heat. Now remove extra oil or grease from it. Pour water into the pan, boil it and keep it aside for a few minutes. Take a wooden spoon and stir it to remove the unwanted ingredients from the pan. Wooden spoon is recommended because removal of waste is important at this point and if you use the same stainless steel spoon, there may be risk that you hurt yourself.

Step 2: The next step in cleaning a meatloaf pan is to empty the pan. Clean a meatloaf pan with a few drops of lemon-based detergent into the pan and gently rub its walls. You can also pour a few drops of lemon and keep it aside for a few minutes before washing it. Wash it again under the running water and look for any grease marks in the pan. If found, repeat the step again. If not, wipe it with a clean cloth and the pan is ready for next use.

Step 3: If you do not have time to immediately clean a meatloaf pan from grease. Take out its contents and pour boiling water into it and keep it aside. Repeat the step two to clean a meatloaf pan.
