But overeaters anonymous food plan is balanced and does not stop you from consuming any food, it only restricts the amount of servings

Overeaters anonymous is not only associated with weight loss and diet, it also addresses emotional concerns and physical well being. The twelve step program is derived from Alcoholics Anonymous. They do not specify any special diet plan, you can follow whichever diet plan suitable for you. However it insists to consume the right amount of protein, fat and carbohydrate. For people to lose weight they provide a low carbohydrate food plan and for maintaining weight, low carbohydrate maintenance plan is suggested. They highly recommend three meals a day and in between only black tea, coffee or soft drinks with no calorie is allowed.

Sample of Overeaters Anonymous Food plan

Breakfast:You are allowed to take 1 protein which includes 4 oz beef or Fish or Ham or Lamb and much more suggested in the Overeaters anonymous pamphlet which is followed by a fruit and a cup of coffee.

Lunch: 1 protein and 1 vegetable and Finger salads (it is three small fresh raw vegetables or green salad) without dressings. Vegetables like Artichoke, Mushrooms, String beans, Turnip and much more found in the Overeaters anonymous pamphlet can be used.

Dinner:Here again you are suggested to have 1 vegetable, 1 protein and salad.

An 8 ounce measuring scale is used and all the foods are weighed before consumption. Meats can be boiled, baked, grilled and pan fried. Cake, butter, soft drink with sugar, cream, whipped cream, condensed milk are some of the food that has to be avoided. Each day you should write the food plan and follow it diligently. Try to eat slowly, consume in small bites and chew it slowly do not go for second servings avoid skipping meals and most importantly you are not supposed to eat food that are not part of the food portion sheet.
