Ingredients

Neufchatel cheese/Cream cheese 6 Ounce
Granulated sugar 1 Teaspoon
Wanton wrapper 12
Water 1 Tablespoon ((as needed for wetting edges of wrap))
For sauce
Semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Whipping cream 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For frying
Vegetable oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((as needed))

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a medium bowl, add Neufchatel cheese or cream cheese and sugar. Beat until nice and soft.

2. Take one wonton wrap at a time, and wet its edges with water.

3. Place 2 teaspoons of the cheese mixture in the center of wrap.

4. Close it in triangular fashion by bringing the corners together as shown in the video. Press edges to seal. Repeat for other wanton wraps.

5. Place a heavy pot on flame and fill it one-third of the way up with oil. Heat oil until it reaches 350 degrees F.

MAKING

6. Drop wantons into the pan and deep fry for about 2 minutes or until golden. Turn once halfway through for even cooking.

7. Line a plate with paper towel, and transfer fried wontons on it to drain.

8. Meanwhile, for chocolate sauce, in a small bowl, add semisweet chocolate chips and whipping cream.

9. Place the bowl in microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir after every 15 seconds until the chocolate melts and sauce is smooth.

10. Drizzle chocolate sauce over wontons, and allow it to sit for a while.

SERVING

11. Serve wonton wraps hot or cold.
