Potato Dumplings Using Matzo Meal

Potatoes 2 Large , soiled soft,skin on
Hot water/Vegetable stock 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Garlic powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Oregano 1/4 Teaspoon
Thyme 1/4 Teaspoon
Cayenne pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Vegetable broth/Chicken broth 4 Quart
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Olive oil/Chicken fat 3 Tablespoon
Eggs 3
Matzo meal/Whole meal flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Parsley/Watercress 1 (For Garnish)



1.Using a food processor ,steel blade added, blend all the ingredients except 4 parts liquid.

2.Alternatively, mash potatoes with a masher and mix the remaining ingredients using a wooden spoon

3.Chill this batter for several hours

4Take a pan and bring the broth to a boil.Add tablespoons of this dumpling batter. Cover and simmer 20 minutes


5.Ladle the bowl into soup bowls,adding 2-3 dumplings per person and sprinkle watercress
