There's nothing better to me than a festive Holiday cocktail. With the Holiday season in full swing that means there's no shortage of cranberries. Take advantage of them by making this delicious cocktail! I like to make a large batch of the simple syrup and have it in my refrigerator at all times... just in case. Cheers!

Ingredients

For simple syrup:
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Cinnamon stick 1
Fresh cranberries 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
For cocktail:
Simple syrup 1/2 Ounce (((cranberry)))
Bitters 2 Dash
Orange slice 1
Bourbon 3 Ounce

Directions

MAKING:

1.The first thing you want to do is make your simple syrup.

2.In a small pan over medium high heat add the sugar, water, cranberries, and cinnamon stick. Let it come to a simmer and cook about 10 minutes, or until all of the cranberries start to pop.

3.Once the cranberries have popped turn off the heat and let it cool completely.

4.In a shaker with ice add the simple syrup, bitters, orange, and Bourbon of choice.

5.Shake vigorously until chilled and strain into a glass with an ice sphere.

6.Garnish with an orange zest and cranberry.

SERVING:

7.Serve and enjoy.Cheers!
