You can recreate this new classic cocktail from the Carousel bar from the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans at home. This gin-based cocktail is very refreshing and perfect for the summer.
|Cucumber slices||4 , divided (2 to 3 1/4 inch)|
|Lime juice||1/2 Ounce|
|Elderflower liqueur||1/4 Ounce (St. Germains)|
|Hendricks gin||1 1/4 Ounce (Or other cucumber based gin)|
|Simple syrup||1/2 Ounce|
|Ginger ale||3 Ounce|
|Lime wedge||1 (For garnish)|
1.In a cocktail shaker add cucumber slices, use a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon to crush the cucumbers.
2.Pour in lime juice, elderflower liquor, gin, simple syrup, and ice.
3.Shake for about 30 seconds.
4.Pour into a cocktail glass, top with ginger ale.
5.Garnish with a cucumber slice or lime wedge.
6.Serve and enjoy!
