You can recreate this new classic cocktail from the Carousel bar from the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans at home. This gin-based cocktail is very refreshing and perfect for the summer.
Cucumber slices | 4 , divided (2 to 3 1/4 inch) | |
Lime juice | 1/2 Ounce | |
Elderflower liqueur | 1/4 Ounce (St. Germains) | |
Hendricks gin | 1 1/4 Ounce (Or other cucumber based gin) | |
Simple syrup | 1/2 Ounce | |
Ginger ale | 3 Ounce | |
Ice cubes | 4 | |
Lime wedge | 1 (For garnish) |
MAKING:
1.In a cocktail shaker add cucumber slices, use a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon to crush the cucumbers.
2.Pour in lime juice, elderflower liquor, gin, simple syrup, and ice.
3.Shake for about 30 seconds.
4.Pour into a cocktail glass, top with ginger ale.
5.Garnish with a cucumber slice or lime wedge.
