For vanilla bean simple syrup: | ||
Sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Water | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Vanilla bean | 1/2 , cut in half | |
For cocktail: | ||
Bitters | 1 Dash | |
Lemon juice | 1 Dash | |
Bourbon | 1/2 Ounce | |
Champagne | 2 Ounce | |
Lemon twist | 1 |
MAKING:
In a small pan, combine sugar, water, vanilla bean and stir over medium heat.
Turn off heat and allow to steep in room temperature.
In a serving glass, combine simple syrup, bitters, lemon juice, bourbon and stir well.
Top with cold champagne and garnish with lemon twist.
