Wilson's Smash With Rhum Barbancourt

Instead of a shooter, we've got a cocktail because, well, we forgot about Sunday and had too many recipes. The Wilson's Smash was too good to not try so here we are giving it a try.

A subtle absinthe flavor, not overpowering and not black licorice candy flavor either. More of a sneaking subtle hidden flavor. A mild mint, tropical flavor and muted pineapple flavor that is not overly sweet.

A great cocktail for a caribbean cocktail party.

Ingredients

Aged rum 2 Ounce
Lime juice 1 Ounce
Pineapple syrup 3/4 Ounce
Angostura bitters 1 Dash
Absinthe 2 Dash
Fresh mint sprig 1
Club soda 2 Ounce
Ice cubes 5

Directions

MAKING:

In a cocktail shaker, combine aged rum, lime juice, pineapple syrup, angostura bitters, absinthe, ice cubes and shake well.

Strain into serving glass and add ice cubes. Garnish with mint and top with soda.

SERVING:

Serve and enjoy!
