How to Bake Gingerbread Donuts

Soft and tender with all the right spices baked right in. These are glazed with an easy maple spice icing and each bite lends itself perfectly to Autumn.


Unbleached flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Baking soda 1/4 Teaspoon
Pumpkin spice 2 Teaspoon
Brown sugar 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
Canola oil 4 1/2 Tablespoon
Molasses 1 Teaspoon
Eggs 1 Medium (room temperature)
For the icing
Maple syrup 2 Teaspoon
Pumpkin spice 1/2 Teaspoon
Powdered sugar 2 Tablespoon



1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.


2. In a bowl sift unbleached all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and pumpkin spice.

3. In another bowl place the brown sugar, molasses and oil, cream everything using hand mixer until well combined.

4. Add the egg and whisk everything until well incorporated.

5. Gradually add the sifted flour in batches, using a spatula mix everything.

6. Transfer the batter into a plastic bag and snip off one of the ends.

7. Pipe out the batter halfway through into the donuts pan and bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.

8. In the meantime in a bowl combine maple syrup, pumpkin spice and powdered sugar. Whisk until well combined and the mixture reaches icing consistency.

9. Once the donuts are done remove and allow it to cool on a cooling rack.

10. Once cooled, dip once side of the donuts in the icing and allow it to set.


11. Serve as desired.
