So it's midnight, and you're craving a fluffy, warm doughnut. Here's a recipe you can make that only takes 5 minutes and satisfies that craving. A golden brown vanilla french toast coated in powdered sugar.
Egg | 1 Large | |
Vanilla extract | 2 Teaspoon | |
Whole milk/Heavy cream | 1 Tablespoon | |
Butter | 1/2 Tablespoon (1 knob) | |
Vegetable oil | 1 Drop | |
Powdered sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (for dusting) |
MAKING:
In a shallow dish, combine egg, vanilla, milk and whisk well.
Cut the bread slices and soak in bread mixture.
Heat saucepan and melt butter in it. Add oil and when it turns hot, place bread slices.
Cook for 90 seconds (45 seconds/ side) or until golden brown.
Coat the toast with sugar.
SERVING:
Serve with any fruit slice and enjoy!
