How to Make Donuts - Klondike Brands Spudnuts Recipe

Donuts, easily fried in the backyard, camping or tailgating! Watch as I take you step-by-step and cook these delicious potato based donuts with a Dutch oven! Coat them with your favorite toppings or just pop them into your mouth as quick as possible! Backyard cooking never tasted so good.

Ingredients

Potatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs) , mashed (Klondike Goldust Potatoes)
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Melted shortening 3 Tablespoon
Vanilla 3 Teaspoon
Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Baking powder 5 Teaspoon
Eggs 2 , beaten

Directions

MAKING

1. Whisk mashed potatoes, milk and eggs together until no lumps remain.

2. Add sugar and baking powder once everything is blended. Mix well.

3. Drop in salt, melted shortening and vanilla extract. Keep add flour and mix until a batter of desired consistency is reached.

4. Take the batter and spread it on a floured surface. Generously rub your hands in flour. Take the doughnut cutter and dip it in flour.

5. Cut doughnuts with the cutter.

6. Heat oil in a cast iron pan to 375 F. 

7. Deep fry the doughnuts.

8. Decorate as desired.

 

SERVING

9. Serve them for breakfast or at any time of the day. Enjoy.
