|3 tbsp of oil
|½ tsp of mustard seeds
|2 green chillies
|fresh curry leaves
|½ tsp of asofetida
|2 peeled and chopped potatoes
|½ cup of green peas
|¼ cup of water
|3 cups or 750 ml of water
|11/2 cup or 280gms of semolina/rava
|2 tsp of salt
|1 tsp of sugar
|juice of one lime
|½ cup of freshly grated coconut.
- In a pan heat oil then add mustard seeds.
- Once the seeds start crackling add green chillies, fresh curry leaves, yellow asofetida, potatoes, green peas and water, cover the lid and let it cook.
- Heat some water in other saucepan.
- In the tampering add the semolina and roast it well for 3-4 minutes.
- Add salt, sugar and the boiled water.
- Add juice of 1 lime, ghee and freshly grated coconut.
- Potato and Peas upma is ready to be served..
