6 large Bombay ducks (cleaned, deboned and flattened) | ||
½ tsp. Salt | ||
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder | ||
½ cup Rice Flour | ||
½ cup Semolina | ||
Oil for frying | ||
For the filling: | ||
300 gms. Tiny Prawns | ||
2 large Onions, chopped | ||
2 Green Chillies, crushed | ||
1 tbsp. Garlic crushed | ||
½ tsp. Turmeric Powder | ||
1 tsp. Chilli Powder | ||
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice | ||
4 tbsp. Coriander Leaves | ||
2 tbsp. Oil | ||
Salt, as required |
- In a wok heat oil and add onions and stir fry on high flame.
- Now add crushed garlic and green chilies to it. Cook until the raw smell goes away.
- Then add the prawns, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice and mix well. Turn the flame off and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
- Marinate the Bombay Ducks with turmeric powder and lemon juice.
- Assemble as shown in the video.
- Make a mixture of rice flour and semolina and coat the stuffed bombay ducks with it.
- In a pan heat oil and fry them seam side down, as shown in the video.
Stuffed Bombil is ready to eat!
