A Barfi base is made with Milk, Sugar, Milk powder, Khoya and Cocoa powder and set. Ghee | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Milk powder | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Grated khoya | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
Vanilla essence | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Double dutch cocoa | 2 Tablespoon | |
Melted dark chocolate | 100 Gram | |
Chocolate | To Taste | |
Candies | To Taste | |
Sprinkles | To Taste |
MAKING:
1. Heat the ghee and add in the milk
2. Once heated add the sugar, followed by the milk powder and mix
3. Add the khoya and keep stirring with a spatula to prevent any burning
4. Add the essence and the cocoa powder
5. In about 15 - 17 mins the mixture would have thickened and comes together when you stir
6. Remove and press into a 7 x 7 inch lined tin and smooth out the surface and allow to cool
7. Heat the chocolate and pour over the top and spread
8. Arrange the chocolate and candies to your liking and allow both the barfi and chocolate layer to set before cutting
