This carrot pie recipe is one of those sweet pie recipes that is almost forgotten about. Overtaken by sweet potato and pumpkin pies. But carrot pie has a great flavor and texture. This carrot pie recipe is a winner.
|Cooked mashed carrots||1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Cinnamon powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Dried ginger powder||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Sweet milk||1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sweet cream||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|9 inch pie shell||1 (Shallow pie shell)|
1. Pre-heat oven to 425ºF.
2. Mix ingredients and pour into a 9" shallow pie shell.
3. Bake at 425ºF for 10 minutes, then lower temp to 325ºF.
4. Bake until middle just barely jiggles - about 1 hour more.
5. Serve and enjoy.
