This carrot pie recipe is one of those sweet pie recipes that is almost forgotten about. Overtaken by sweet potato and pumpkin pies. But carrot pie has a great flavor and texture. This carrot pie recipe is a winner.
Cooked mashed carrots | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Brown sugar | 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
Cinnamon powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Dried ginger powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Eggs | 2 | |
Sweet milk | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Sweet cream | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
9 inch pie shell | 1 (Shallow pie shell) |
GETTING READY:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425ºF.
MAKING:
2. Mix ingredients and pour into a 9" shallow pie shell.
3. Bake at 425ºF for 10 minutes, then lower temp to 325ºF.
4. Bake until middle just barely jiggles - about 1 hour more.
