This is a simple recipe that marinates the Shrimp in a simple Chipotle blend. The Chipotle sauce works as a marinade and sauce putting a real OLE into this!
For chipotle sauce: | ||
Canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce | 186 Milliliter (1 can of 6.55 fl oz) | |
Tomato paste | 2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
Cumin powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cinnamon powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Clove powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Garlic | 5 Clove (25 gm) | |
Agave syrup/Honey | 2 Tablespoon | |
Water | 186 Milliliter (or) | |
For shrimp: | ||
Shrimp | 500 Gram | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Chipotle sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
For extras: | ||
Corn tortillas | 8 | |
Guacamole | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Lettuce leaves | 8 | |
Pico de gallo | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
GETTING READY:
1. Prepare the Chipotle sauce by processing all the sauce ingredients together and then boil it covered for 3 – 5 minutes and then allow to completely cool.
MAKING:
2. Add 3 tbsps of this to the shrimp and marinate.
3. Shallow fry the shrimp till cooked for just a few minutes on both sides.
4. To assemble the tacos, heat the tortilla and smear with some guacamole, add some lettuce, pico de Gallo and then the shrimp. Top with sour cream and some chipotle sauce.
