We LOVE our green masala, whether its used as a dip, a chutney or a marinade coriander and chillies with other spices is King! In this recipe, Im giving my Instant Pot a whirl by cooking chunks of beef in this glorious green blend.

Green chilli | 1 Tablespoon | |
Ginger | 1 Inch | |
Garlic | 4 Clove (20 gm) | |
Fresh coriander | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Water | To Taste | |
Beef and gravy: | ||
Oil | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Sliced onions | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Green chilli | 2 Tablespoon | |
Boneless beef cubes | 2 Pound | |
Coriander powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cumin powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Red chilli powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Garam masala | 1 Teaspoon | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Diced tomatoes | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Water | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Tamarind juice | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Cubed potatoes | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Pepper | To Taste | |
Chopped coriander | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. Blend all the green masala ingredients together
2. In the IP set it to saute mode and heat up some oil
3. Add the onions and the green chilli
4. Add some salt to help the onions caramelize faster
5. Add the boneless beef cubes
6. Add the powdered spices
7. Add salt to taste
8. Add the tomatoes, water cover and set the IP to pressure cook for 15 mins
9. Let the steam escape, open and add the tamarind juice and the potatoes in
10. Pressure cook again for 10 mins
11. Add Pepper to taste
