Welcome Friends! It's Sunday morning so we're going to do another recipe out of a depression-era cookbook for our Old Cookbook Show. Today we're going to do one from the 1932 edition of the five roses flour a guide to good cooking, if you are Canadian chances are you have you have one of these cookbooks in your cupboard. We're going to make this peanut butter bread recipe.
|All purpose flour||500 Milliliter (about 2 cups)|
|Sugar||60 Milliliter (about 1/4 cup)|
|Baking powder||20 Milliliter (about 4 tsp)|
|Salt||2 Milliliter (about 1/2 tsp)|
|Milk||325 Milliliter (about 1 1/3 cup)|
|Peanut butter||125 Milliliter (about 1/2 cup)|
1. Preheat oven to 160ºC (325ºF).
2. Mix together the dry ingredients.
3. Mix in the milk, and then the peanut butter.
4. Scrape into a greased loaf tin and bake for 1 hour.
5.Serve and enjoy!
