Flour 15 Milliliter (about 1 tbsp)
Beer/Wine 300 Milliliter (or chicken stock about 1 1/2 cups)

1. In a large bowl, mix together bread crumbs, oregano, pepper flakes, garlic, ground beef, salt, and egg.

2. Mix until combined and form into meatballs.

3. Refrigerate until needed.

4. Heat oil in a pan and fry off as many as possible without overcrowding.

5. You may have to do this in batches.

6. Brown the meatballs on all sides and remove to a plate.

7. If there is excess oil in the pan drain it off.

8. Add onions and fry until translucent.

9. Add the mushrooms and cook until they have released all of their moisture.

10. Stir in the garlic, then the flour; cook 1-2 minutes more.

11. Slowly add the beer and stir continuously as the sauce thickens.

12. Stir in the salt, pepper and meatballs.

13. Simmer the meatballs for a few minutes, then stir in the cream.

14. Add a little beer, wine, water or chicken stock if the sauce is too thick.
