Today Glen bakes this 1938 Boston Brown Cookies Recipe. These cookies are a take on "The Boston Cookie" recipe found in many American cookbooks and newspapers starting in the early 1880's. There are a few variations to the recipes, mostly with regards to spicing and the fruits used. They share what seems like a common ancestor in early Hermit recipes.
