Traditional Nimbu Achar - Lemon Pickles

Pickles bring instant flavors to any boring food. Lemon pickle is a great side dish or condiment to have on hand for those lazy days. Just this pickles, rice and dal will make a simple and tasty meal. Lemon pickles are natural preservatives, has no cholesterol, and is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.


Lemon 5 Large , cubed (Remove seeds and white bit)
Kosher salt 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Ground fenugreek seed powder 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Mild chilli powder 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Asafoetida 1 Pinch
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Jaggery 1 Cup (16 tbs)
