Glen made The Most Watched Peanut Butter Texas Sheet Cake Recipe on YouTube... and it was amazing!!! This led to a discussion of how we could change the cake - make it slightly different, yet still retain the amazing texture and taste of the original. The 'Elvis' Peanut Butter Banana Bacon Sheet Cake Recipe was born!


Butter 240 Gram ((250 mL / 1 cup))
Water 250 Milliliter ((1 cup))
Creamy peanut butter 65 Gram ((60 mL / ¼ cup))
All purpose flour 280 Gram ((500 mL / 2 cups))
Salt 2 Milliliter ((1/2 tsp))
Baking soda 5 Milliliter ((1 tsp))
Sugar 400 Gram ((500 mL / 2 cups))
Buttermilk 125 Milliliter ((1/2 cup))
Eggs 2
Pure vanilla extract 5 Milliliter ((1 tsp))
Bananas 3
Bacon slices 6
For penut butter icing:
Butter 120 Gram ((125 mL / ½ cup))
Creamy peanut butter 65 Gram ((60 mL / ¼ cup))
Buttermilk 75 Milliliter ((1/3 cup))
Icing sugar 325 Gram ((625 mL / 2½ cups))
Pure vanilla extract 5 Milliliter ((1 tsp))



1. Preheat oven to 180ºC (350ºF).

2. Combine butter, water and peanut butter and one mashed banana in a saucepan over medium heat.

3. While the PB is heating mix together flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl; set aside.


4. Whisk to combine eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.

5. When the the PB mixture comes to a boil, remove from the heat and stir in sugar.

6. Split and chop up the remaining two bananas

7. Whisk in the buttermilk mixture.

8. Add flour mixture and mix well.

9. Spread into a greased 11"x17" rimmed sheet pan.

10. Dropped the chopped banana pieces on top.

11. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until it springs back when gently touched.

12. While the cake is baking, chop and fry the bacon, and make the icing.

13. Combine butter, peanut butter and buttermilk in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil.

14. Remove from heat; stir in powdered sugar and vanilla to a spreading consistency.

15. Pour and spread icing over warm cake.

16. Sprinkle with bacon bits.


17. Serve and enjoy!
