This 1939 Sour Cream Cake Recipe is a great raisin tea cake. Simple to make, with ingredients you probably always have on hand.

Sugar | 250 Milliliter (about 1 cup) | |
Sour cream | 250 Milliliter (about 1 cup) | |
Raisins | 250 Milliliter (about 1 cup) | |
Currants | 250 Milliliter (about 1 cup) | |
Baking soda | 5 Milliliter (about 1 tsp) | |
All purpose flour | 375 Milliliter (about 1 1/2 cups) |
GETTING READY:
1. Preheat oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
MAKING:
2. Whisk together the eggs and sugar.
3. Whisk in the sour cream.
4. Stir in raisins and currants.
5. Stir in soda and flour.
6. Scrape into a greased loaf pan.
7. Bake for 45 - 60 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
