How to make Bacon-Jalapeno-Cheddar Crostini. This is a terrific snack to serve at a party or while watching a sports event.
French baguette | 1 ((sliced into 1/2 inch slices)) | |
Olive oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Softened cream cheese | 4 Ounce | |
Jalapeno pepper | 1 , mince ((seeds and fiber removed)) | |
Minced red bell pepper | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Mayonnaise | 2 Tablespoon | |
Cayenne pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Crisp bacon strips | 3 , crumbled |
GETTING READY:
1.Preheat the oven to 350-degree (F).
MAKING:
2.Place baguette slices in a shallow baking pan.
3.Drizzle olive oil lightly over the top of the baguette slices.
4.Toast for 5 minutes in the preheated oven.
5.Turn baguette slices and drizzle other side with olive oil and return to the oven for 5 more minutes.
6.Meanwhile, mix together cheddar cheese, cream cheese, minced jalapeno pepper, minced red bell pepper, mayonnaise, cayenne pepper, and crumbled bacon.
7.Spread over top of toasted baguette slices.
8.Return to oven until topping is melted (about 5 minutes). Remove from oven and transfer slices to a nice platter.
SERVING:
9.Serve hot.
