If you love Jamaican beef patties as much as I do you will not be disappointed by this recipe. It is flavorful and delicious. This Jamaican beef patty is low carb and keto friendly.

Ingredients

For meat filling
Butter 2 Tablespoon
Ground beef 1 Pound
Onion 1 Small , mince
Habanero pepper 1 (green,can omit if you want a milder patty)
Garlic 2 , mince
Dried thyme 1 Teaspoon
Curry powder 1 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
All spice 1/2 Teaspoon
Bay leaves 2
Ketchup 1 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce 1 Tablespoon
Broth 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Green onions 2 , mince
For the dough:
Shredded mozzarella cheese 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Cream cheese 2 Tablespoon
Almond flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Egg 1 Large
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Curry powder 1 Tablespoon
Oat fiber 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (optional)

Directions

MAKING:

1.In a heavy skillet melt the butter then add onions and hot pepper and sauté until translucent (about 4 to 5 minutes).

2.Add the garlic and thyme and continue to sauté for another minute. 3.Add half the salt and combine.

4.Add the ground beef breaking up any clumps, and let cook until the meat is no longer pink.

5.Season the beef with the curry powder,salt, black pepper, all spice and bay leaf.

6.Mix in the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce.

7.Add the beef broth and stir. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat add let simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated (about 10 minutes) the sauce should be thick.

8.Add the green onions at the last 5 mins of cooking.

9.Remove from heat and allow to cool while preparing the dough.

10.In a microwave safe bowl add the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese and microwave for 1 minute.

11.Add an additional 30 seconds if still not softened.

12.Mix the Almond four, curry powder and turmeric powder together. 13.Combine with the cheese mixture than add beaten egg and combine.

14.Spread between two parchment paper and form circle for a patty. 15.Fill patties and seal with a folk. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 mins.
