Caution - Dont make these! They are highly addictive
Whole blanched almonds | 4 Cup (64 tbs) (625g) | |
Egg white | 1 Large | |
Pure vanilla extract | 1 Tablespoon (15 mL) | |
Granulated sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (95g) | |
Packed light brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (125g) | |
Ground cinnamon | 2 Teaspoon (10mL) | |
Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon (2 mL) | |
Coarse salt | 1/4 Teaspoon (1 mL) |
GETTING READY:
1.Preheat the oven to 250F (120ºC).
2.Grease the bottom of a sheet pan.
MAKING:
1.Mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt.
2.In another bowl whisk the egg white until frothy.
3.Add the vanilla and continue to whisk until combined.
4.Add the almonds and stir until evenly coated.
5.Mix the egg white coated almonds into the sugar mixture until fully coated.
6.Spread in a single layer on the greased pan.
7.Bake for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes to prevent clumps.
8.Cool before serving.
