Jaggery aka Gur is a super fun ingredient one of our favourites ....Hot pakoras with sweet centre filling of Gur served with ice cream chocolate sauce! Have a 'gur' day this diwali.
|Jaggery||2 Cup (32 tbs) (1 bowl)|
|Refined flour||1 Cup (16 tbs) (maida)|
|Castor sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Fennel seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Water||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (as required)|
|Vanilla ice cream||1 Pint|
|Chocolate sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1.Take out jaggery shavings in a bowl using a sharp knife and keep aside.
2.Make a dough using refined flour (maida), castor sugar, ghee, fennel seeds and water.
3.Roll and make small pouches.
4.Place some jaggery shavings and close the pouch.
5.Fry them in hot oil till golden brown
6.Serve with ice- cream and chocolate sauce.
