Potli Roti - Chapati Pockets - Quick And Easy Snack

Bite size rotis with mouth watering green pea filling... that's why they say good things come in small packages.


Roti 6 Medium
Ghee 3 Tablespoon (for frying)
Spring onion greens 3 (for tying)
Green pea paste 1 Cup (16 tbs) , blanched (pureed)
Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
Asafoetida 1 Teaspoon (hing)
Red chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Water 3 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 2 Tablespoon



1.Blanch green peas and make a fine thick paste, with very little water.

2.Now in a pan add some oil and heat.

3.Add cumin seeds, green pea paste and cook.

4.To this add asafoetida (hing), cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.

5.Add water, salt. Cook & keep aside.

6.Use leftover roti and make a roti potli (pouch), add the filling and tie with a spring onion green(blanched and cooled).

7.Fry in ghee.

8.Sprinkle some red chilli powder on top.


9.Serve and enjoy.
