One of our favorite street style food from Delhi is called Ram Ladoo ... a lip smacking daal snack topped with shredded radish, tangy green chutney chaat masala! We absolutely love this one gave it a shot here.
|Split black gram||1 Cup (16 tbs) , soaked (urad dal,skinless)|
|Split green gram||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (moong dal,skinless and soaked)|
|Oil||3 Cup (48 tbs) (For deep frying)|
|Asafoetida||1/4 Teaspoon (hing)|
|Cumin seeds||1/2 Teaspoon (jeera)|
|Chopped ginger||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped green chillies||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Red chilli powder||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Crushed red chilies||1/2 Teaspoon|
|White radish||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (shredded)|
|Green chutney||2 Teaspoon|
|Dry mango powder||1 Teaspoon (amchur powder)|
|Chaat masala||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Water||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
1.Soak Urad and Moong Dal for at least 30 min.
2.Drain and grind with little water and make a fine paste.
3.Transfer into a bowl.
4.Add chopped ginger, chopped garlic, chopped green chillies, asafoetida, red chilli powder,cumin seeds, salt and amchur powder.
5.Add water and whisk well till the batter becomes light.
6.Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
7.Keep a bowl of water. With damp fingers take little portions of the batter and drop into hot oil and deep fry till golden.
8.Serve with shredded radish and green chutney.
9.Sprinkle some chaat masala from top.
10.Serve and enjoy.
