Carrot And Coriander Idli - How To Make Tri Coloured Rice Cakes - Independence Day Special

Carrots 4
Coriander leaves 1 Bunch (100 gm)
Idli batter 1 Packet (readymade)
Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (as required)
Oil 1 Teaspoon ((as required))



1.Puree the carrots and coriander leaves separately.

2.Once the puree is ready add 1 tsp of ginger-garlic paste and salt to each and mix.

3.Divide the idli batter into three portions.

4.First portion add carrots puree, next coriander puree and last let it remain white.

5.In the idli steamer add one strip of each colour.

6.Steam the idli for 15 minutes.


7.Serve it with hot sambhar and chutney.
