Don't pick pockets but pick bread packets for paneer pockets! These crunchy spicy paneer filled pockets once dipped in ketchup will leave you wanting for more.

Chopped onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Finely chopped ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
Red chilli powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Turmeric powder | 1/3 Teaspoon | |
Chopped green chiies | 1 Teaspoon | |
Garlic | 1 Tablespoon ((chopped and sautéed)) | |
Water | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) ((as needed)) | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Paneer | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Oil | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
To make the filling-
1.Heat refined oil in a pan. Sauté onions.
2.Add ginger and sauté till onion turns golden brown.
3.Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, green chilli, sautéed garlic and salt.
4.Sprinkle water and mix well.
5.Add grated paneer. Mix till the masala coats well on the grated paneer. Keep the filling aside.
To make the bread pockets-
6.Take the bread slices. Cut off the crust.
7.Using a rolling pin flatten the slices.
8.Place the filling in the centre and fold the bread.
9.Seal the edges firmly with the help of water.
10.Deep fry in refined oil until golden in colour.
SERVING:
11.Serve with tomato ketchup.
