This wonderful Chicken curry recipe is easy to make and packed with delicious Spinach!
Spinach | 2 Ounce , blanched (pureed to 1 cup) | |
Bone in chicken pieces | 3 Pound | |
Mustard oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Finely chopped onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Ginger paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
Garlic paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
Chilli powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Turmeric | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cumin powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Coriander powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Diced tomatoes | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Garam masala | 1 Teaspoon | |
Kasuri methi | 1 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY:
1.Blanch spinach and allow to cool.
MAKING:
2.Puree spinach in a food processor and set aside.
3.In a saute pan, heat oils and saute onions in it.
4.Add ginger paste, garlic and stir well until cooked.
5.Add chilli powder, turmeric, cumin, coriander and mix well.
6.Add diced tomatoes, salt and stir well.
7.Cover with a lid and allow to cook until it thickens.
8.Add chicken and fold in to coat with the gravy.
9.Cover with lid and cook for 20-30 minutes.
10.Add garam masala, kasuri methi, spinach puree and fold in.
11.Simmer for few minutes.
SERVING:
12.Serve with rice or Indian bread and enjoy!
