Betty demonstrates how to make Zesty Marinated Mushrooms. These are fresh sliced mushrooms, covered with a flavorful oil and vinegar sauce, and chilled before serving.
Fresh mushrooms | 1 Pound | |
Vegetable oil | 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
White vinegar | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Dried parsley flakes | To Taste | |
Dried dill weed | 1 Tablespoon | |
Onion | 1 | |
Garlic | 1 Clove (5 gm) |
MAKING:
1. Wash mushroom slices and pat dry with paper towel.
2. Place mushroom slices in a large bowl or suitable jar.
3. Pour each of the remaining ingredients over the top of the mushrooms. Stir well.
4. Marinate at least 8 hours, stirring occasionally. Keep in the refrigerator (covered) for about 4 days.
