Betty demonstrates how to make Cheesy Cabbage Bake. This is a delicious side dish that is great in the springtime.
Cabbage head | 1 Small ((chopped and cooked in lightly salted water for 8 minutes, then drained)) | |
Butter | 10 Tablespoon | |
Onion | 1 Small | |
Velveeta cheese | 1 Pound | |
Cream of celery soup | 10 1/2 Ounce | |
Ritz crackers | 1 Packet | |
Cooking oil spray | 2 Tablespoon |
MAKING:
1. In a medium-sized skillet, melt 1 stick butter over low heat.
2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Add cheese in chunks to melt.
4. Stir in celery soup. In a very large bowl, mix the cheese sauce with the cooked cabbage.
5. Place in a 9-inch by 13-inch by 2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil spray.
6. Sprinkle crushed Ritz crackers over the top and drizzle the Ritz cracker crumb topping with 2 tablespoons of melted butter.
7. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 20 minutes.
SERVING:
