Chilli Bean Dip by Tarla Dalal

Serve this easy-to-prepare warm dip to your guest with a bowl of crispy chips.

Ingredients

Oil 1 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
Finely chopped garlic 1 Teaspoon
Finely chopped spring onion whites 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Finely chopped spring onion greens 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Canned baked beans 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Cheese spread 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Finely chopped coriander 2 Tablespoon

Directions

MAKING

1. In a broad non-stick pan, heat oil, add cumin and allow it to splutter.

2. Add garlic, spring onion whites and saute over medium flame for 1-2 minutes.

3. Add spring onion greens, saute for 1 minute and then stir in baked beans. Stir occasionally with a masher and cook for 1-2 minutes.

4. Add cheese spread, chili powder, salt, coriander and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir constantly and cook for 1-2 minutes.

SERVING

5. Serve warm with chips.
