Cheese Flan

Ingredients

Cheese pastry 4 Ounce
Carrots 2 , freshly cooked
Cooked peas 2 Tablespoon
Hard boiled egg 2
Skinned tomatoes 2
Cheese sauce 1/2 Pint
Grated cheese 1/2 Ounce

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven hot to 420° F.

2. Grease a flan ring or sandwich tin, size 7" diameter.

MAKING

3. Roll out the pastry and line it in prepared greased tin.

4. Prick the base and cover with greaseproof paper.

5. Spoon baking beans or crusts of bread into it.

6. Bake in the centre of oven for 10 mins and decrease heat to 375° and continue to bake for 15-20 mins.

7. Remove the crust and paper just before the pastry is cooked and let the flan dry off.

8. Let stand until cool.

9. Slice carrot, tomatoes and egg.

10. Arrange the vegetables in layers in the flan case with the peas.

11. Add sauce in between layers of vegetables, making the last layer of sauce.

12. Sprinkle grated cheese over it.

13. Bake in moderately hot oven (375° F) for 20 mins or grill until brown for 5 mins.

SERVING

14. Serve hot.
