This custard recipe is my mother's original recipe. Made with macaroons and milk along with eggs, this milk and macaroon custard is a cooked custard and can be spiced if desired. Combined together and baked in the oven, this custard is delicious and quite heavy.


Butter 2 Tablespoon
Flour 2 Tablespoon
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 2 Tablespoon
Eggs 4 Small , separated



1.Start by preheating the oven to 350F degrees


2.Make white sauce of butter, flour and milk.

3.Stir in sugar and macaroons; allow mixture to cool slightly.

4.Add egg yolks which have been beaten until thick; mix thoroughly.

5.Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

6.Pour into greased baking dish and bake in the oven


7.Serve with fruits or ice cream
