Kadhi Pakoda Recipe In Marathi - Punjabi Pakora Curry - Smita Deo

Kadhi Pakoda is a North Indian main course recipe made by adding fritters into curd mixture. This vegetarian curry can be enjoyed with steamed basmati rice or chapatis.


For kadhi:
Methi seeds 12
Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
Onions 2 , finely chopped
Ginger paste 1 Teaspoon
Garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Tomatoes 2 , finely chopped
Curd 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Gram flour 2 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Water 1 Liter
For pakora:
Onions 3 , finely chopped
Green chillies 4 , finely chopped
Coriander 1 Cup (16 tbs) , finely chopped
Salt To Taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Gram flour 2 Cup (32 tbs) (or as required)




1. Heat oil in a vessel, add methi seeds, cumin seeds, onion and saute them until pink in color.

2. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, saute them till the raw smell goes away.

3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, stir them for a minute.

4. Add tomatoes, and cook till it softens.

5. Now to the curd, add gram flour, salt and whisk well so that there are no lumps formed.

6. To the above-prepared gravy, add water and let it cook.

7. Give it a boil, switch off the flame and keep it aside.



1. In a bowl add onions, green chillies, coriander, salt, turmeric powder, mix well.

2. Add gram flour as required and mix well.

3. Heat oil in a vessel, make small balls of the mixture and fry it.

4. Take it out in a bowl, transfer it to the kadhi carefully.


5. Our Kadhi Pakoda is ready to serve.
