Chef Ruchi Bharani teaches, how to make Dahi Chawal / Curd Rice / Yogurt Rice - a very quick recipe and very popular food in South India.
Boiled rice | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Yogurt | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Ghee | 1 Tablespoon | |
Green chilli | 1 | |
Hing | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Mustard seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Chopped ginger | 1 Tablespoon | |
Curry leaves | To Taste | |
Coriander leaves | To Taste | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Dry red chilli | 1 |
MAKING:
1. Mix very well, rice and curd in a bowl - Add salt, green chillies, coriander leaves.
2. Add Ghee to a heated pan and add mustard seeds to it - Once the mustard seeds start crackling, add the curry leaves, dry red chilli, asafoetida, ginger and stir them well for few seconds.
3. Pour this in the curd and rice mixture and mix everything well.
SERVING:
4. Serve chilled. Enjoy!
