Kathi Roll - Veg Original Kati Kebab Kolkata Egg Roll Street Style

In this video, we will make Kathi Roll Recipe which is also known as Kati Kebab Paratha Roll in Calcutta Style. Kathi in Bengali basically means Stick and Kathi Roll came into picture when Britishers wanted to try Kathi Kebabs but did not until one Nizam hid them in a egg paratha. Frankie and Kathi Rolls are miles apart. Today we are making Aloo and Soya Kathi Roll which tastes just as good as the regular mutton/chicken one.

Ingredients

For stage 1 marinade:
Boiled potatoes 16 Small
Soya chunks 16 , boil
Flour 4 Tablespoon ((sattu))
Black salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Sesame seed powder 1 Tablespoon
Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
Garam masala 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Red chilli paste 2 Tablespoon
Mint powder 1 Teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 Teaspoon
Yogurt 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Kalonji 1/2 Teaspoon ((optional))
Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon ((optional))
Oil 4 Tablespoon , divided ((3 tbsp is for marinade and 1 tbsp is for cooking the kathi rolls))
For stage 2 lacha paratha:
Maida 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Oil 11 Tablespoon , divided ((1 tbsp is for the dough and rest is for making and cooking paratha))
For stage 3 eggless omelet:
Besan 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Maida 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
For stage 4 filling of kathi roll:
Onions 3 , slice
Capsicum 1 ((cut lengthwise))
Lemon 1 Tablespoon
Black salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Green chilli 1 ((cut lengthwise))
For stage 5 lachha paratha filling:
Onions 3 , slice
Green chutney 4 Tablespoon
