Dahi Ka Saag - Palak Saag / Dahi Tadka - Indian Cuisine

We tried a new way to eat our saag with some tadka of dahi and spices, perfectly blended in dahi ka saag.


Spinach 340 Gram (1 bundle)
Potatoes 3 , boil (peeled and chopped)
Curd 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Besan 1/3 Tablespoon
Ghee 1/3 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 Teaspoon
Curry leaves 10
Hing 1 Pinch (asafoetida)
Fenugreek seeds 1/4 Teaspoon (methi)
Ginger 8 1/2 Gram , finely chopped (1/2 inch ginger)
Green chillies 2
Red chilli powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Garam masala 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste



1.In a bowl mix dahi/curd, besan, water, turmeric powder (dahi mix) and keep aside.

2.Heat ghee and let splutter cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Fry hing, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.

3.Add spinach and saute it for 1 minute.

4.Add dahi mixture, red chilli powder and salt. Bring it to boil.

5.Add boiled potatoes. Simmer it for 10 minutes.

6.Add garam masala and cook it for a minute.


7.Serve hot dahi ka saag with roti.
