Southern Mixed Greens With Smoked Turkey - Healthy Option - Holiday Series

In this video we gonna be making Southern Mixed Greens With Smoked Turkey.This recipe is a very easy one above all it has lot of flexibility,so lets get into it!

Ingredients

Water 4 Quart
Smoked turkey 2 Pound ((Choice of Wings, Drumsticks, Necks, etc.))
Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm) , mince
Onion 1 Large , slice
Collard greens 300 Gram , trimmed ((whole leaf,washed and rinsed,3 bunch))
Turnip greens 300 Gram , trimmed ((whole leaf,washed and rinsed,3 bunch))
Mustard greens 200 Gram , trimmed ((whole leaf,washed and rinsed,2 bunch))
Fresh spinach 2 1/2 Pound , trimmed ((whole leaf,washed and rinsed))
Grand diamond all purpose seasoning To Taste
Salt To Taste
Vinegar 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) ((choice of apple cider, white wine, or red wine vinegar))
Crushed red pepper To Taste

Directions

MAKING:

1.Make shallow cuts in the smoked turkey.

2.In a large stock pot (8 quarts or larger), bring the water and smoked turkey up to a boil over high heat, cover the pot with a lid.

3.Turn the heat down to medium and continue to simmer with a lid for 45 minutes to an hour.

4.Taste the stock before adding seasoning.

5.Add the cleaned greens, Grand Diamond All Purpose Seasoning, onions, garlic, salt, vinegar and optional crushed red pepper to the pot with the turkey.

6.Stir as you add the greens so theyll cook down.

7.Cook over medium-high heat with a lid for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the greens reach the desired tenderness, stirring every 20 to 30 minutes.

8.Serve and enjoy!
