Crispy, tasty and marinated well is what makes it an awesome Parsi style Chicken farcha.
|Chicken drumsticks||6 (without skin)|
|For the marinade:|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Garlic paste||1 Tablespoon|
|Ginger paste||1 Tablespoon|
|Red chilli powder||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Garam masala||1 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1/2 Teaspoon|
|For the coating:|
|Cornflour||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Breadcrumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Freshly ground pepper||1/2 Teaspoon|
|Red chilli powder||1 Pinch|
|Oil||3 Cup (48 tbs) (For deep frying)|
1.Put the chicken in a bowl and add the lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chilipowder, garam masala powder, pepper and salt to it.
2.Mix very well so that the chicken is thoroughly coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
3.Heat oil in a kadhai, on medium heat.
4.Mix the cornflour and salt and lay on a flat plate.
5.Lay the breadcrumbs out on a flat plate.
6.Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk until smooth. Now add the salt to taste, freshly ground black pepper and the pinch of red chili powder. Whisk again to mix well.
7.When the oil is hot, roll each piece of chicken in the cornflour mixture to dust the chicken well.
8.Then in the whisked egg mixture, then the bread crumbs and finally into the oil.
9.Fry until the Chicken is golden in colour.
10.Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
11.When all the chicken farchas are fried, serve hot with a salad and Chutney.
