Punjabi Methi Chole - How To Make Chole Punjabi Style - Methi Chole Recipe

Oil 3 Tablespoon
Bay leaves 2
Green cardamom 2
Big cardamoms 2
Cloves 4
Cumin seeds 2 Teaspoon
Chopped onion 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Ginger paste 1 Tablespoon
Garlic paste 1 Tablespoon
Chopped tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Cumin powder 1 Teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Dry mango powder 1 Teaspoon (amchur powder)
Boiled chickpeas 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Fenugreek leaves 1 Cup (16 tbs) (methi)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Ghee 2 Tablespoon
Green chilli 1



1.Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan.

2.Add bay leaves, green cardamom, big cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds and stir well.

3.Add chopped onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and mix well.

4.Add chopped tomatoes and stir well.

5.Add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder and let them cook.

6.Add boiled chickpeas, fenugreek leaves, salt and water.

7.Mix all the ingredients well, cover with a lid and let it simmer.


8.Add a dollop of ghee and green chili on top and serve hot.
