How To Make Cheese Burst Vada Pav - Street Food Of Mumbai Homemade Vada Pav

Make cheesy vada bombs relish it with pav to have a snacky monday!


Pav 4
For besan batter
Besan 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Hing 1/2 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Baking soda 1 Pinch
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 Teaspoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) ((((as required))))
For filling
Oil 1 Tablespoon
Mustard seeds 1 Teaspoon
Curry leaves 8
Hing 1/4 Teaspoon
Ginger garlic chilli paste 3 Tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Potatoes 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) (((boiled and mashed)))
Salt To Taste
Cheese slices 6
Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (((For deep frying)))
For garnish
Sweet chutney 1 Tablespoon ((as required))
Green chutney 1 Tablespoon ((as required))
Dry garlic chutney 1 Tablespoon ((as required))

For Besan Batter:

1.Combine all the ingredients for the besan batter in a bowl.

2.Add water and mix well. Keep aside.

For Filling:

3.In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds.

4.When they crackle add hing and curry leaves.

5.Add ginger garlic chilli paste and sauté.

6.Add the potatoes, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.

7.Remove from the heat and cool.

8.Shape into round balls.

9.Now cover the balls with the cheese slices.

10.Keep it in the freezer for 15 minutes.

For frying:

11.Remove the vada balls from the freezer.

12.Dip it the besan batter and coat it well.

13.Deep fry in hot oil, till golden brown.

14.Drain on absorbent paper and keep aside.

15.Slice the pav into half.

16.Add the green chutney, sweet chutney and dry garlic chutney.

17.Place one vada in each pav.


18.Serve immediately with the chutneys and green chilli.
