This meat preparation uses either Mutton,. Lamb or Goat and you could even try it with Chicken. This is simmered in a Coriander, Chilli Spiced gravy. It's not too spicy and truly delicious.
Mutton | 2 Pound , cut in to medium pieces | |
Coriander | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
Peppercorns | 10 | |
Green chillies | 2 | |
Ginger paste | 2 Tablespoon | |
Garlic paste | 2 Tablespoon | |
Water | 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((as needed)) | |
Sliced onion | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Turmeric | 2 Tablespoon | |
Cumin powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
Garam masala | 2 Tablespoon | |
Salt | To Taste |
MAKING:
1.In a food processor, grind together peppercorns, green chillies, ginger and garlic paste with coriander.
2.Heat oil and saute onions in a frying pan.
3.Add to coriander paste and grind again.
4.Add oil to pan and transfer the coriander paste to it.
5.Cook for a few minutes until the smell changes and add remaining spices.
6.Add meat, salt, water and cover the pan with a lid.
7.Cook for 45 minutes and stir frequently.
8.Adjust salt to taste.
