Favorite food of many Maharashtrians, Zunka is a traditional authentic recipe which tastes best with Bhakri. Zunka is a dry Gram Flour preparation and the best part is that it can be made in just 10 minutes!
Oil | 5 Tablespoon | |
Mustard seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
Ginger garlic paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
Coriander leaves | 2 Tablespoon | |
Onion | 1 , chop | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Turmeric powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Mixed spice | 2 Teaspoon | |
Spring onion | 1 , chop | |
Gram flour | 150 Gram | |
Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once the mustard seeds start spluttering, add ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, onion, salt, turmeric powder & mix masala. Let all the ingredients cook for some time.
2.Add spring onion and mix well. It enhances the taste of Zunka.
3.Add gram flour & mix well. Make sure there are no lumps.
4.Add little water to keep the Zunka moist. Repeat this step for two more times and mix well.
5.Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 5 to 10 mins on a low flame.
SERVING:
6.Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
